Grant Peterson is a third generation artist and a musician from the lowcountry of South Carolina. He now lives and works off grid from Asheville, North Carolina. He is an accomplished cellist of over 10 years, performing with local orchestras, ensembles, and various groups.
In 2022 he received his Bachelor's of Fine Arts from the College of Charleston for Music Performance and Studio Art. His paintings have been featured in the Halsey Institute of Contemporary art Young Contemporaries series. His work is largely inspired from feelings of fleeting nostalgia and associations of everyday life through rough figurative imagery and reflections in the natural world, art collage, and advertising.
